The “Communication” package is an annual budget.
In other words, the company submits a single application based on its communication strategy and the subsidy-eligible promotional materials it plans to produce or use within twelve months.
This is a major change compared with the previous scheme, which required the company to submit an application for each type or channel of communication.
Description
Within this package, AWEX offers financial support for three different types of promotional materials:
– digital materials (details of eligible costs in the guidance notes available on this page)
– “paper” or digital brochures (leaflets, folders, binders, product sheets, catalogues, etc.)
– video: films, 3D animations and interactive virtual tours
Beneficiaries
Any company that has scored at least 30% in the internationalisation maturity assessment, has an operating site in Wallonia and is pursuing an international project that creates added value for the Walloon economy.
AWEX assesses how realistic this added value is.
The communication must concern a new foreign market or the launch of a new or existing product or service on a foreign market.
Terms of support
The maximum subsidy is 5,000 euros per year per company.
It covers 50% of eligible costs.
For start-ups, the rate is increased to 60%.
An advance equal to 50% of the subsidy is paid to the company as soon as the subsidy is granted.
The request for payment of the balance must be submitted by the company no later than 15 months after the date the aid was notified (see below).
Submitting the subsidy application and payment of the advance
The company submits its subsidy application by completing the electronic form available via its member area , attaching:
– a description of its international project and its implementation plan
– a description of the communication initiative, including at least a presentation of the company’s communication campaign, the list of countries targeted by the campaign, the communication materials to be used and an estimated budget
– the declaration of claim for payment of the advance
– the “de minimis” sworn statement
The subsidy application can only be processed if the form is complete and accompanied by the required appendices (declaration of claim and de minimis statement).
Payment of the balance
For incentive applications that have been granted a subsidy, the procedure is simplified, in line with the principle of trust.
The request for payment of the balance must be submitted by the company no later than 15 months after the date the aid was notified, by sending AWEX the following two documents, duly completed:
– the Communication Support declaration of claim for payment of the balance
